For many years I’ve dreamt of living in the country. In 2023 we moved to the Hepburn area in Victoria. I have set up a corner nook in our house where I paint. I’ve began experimenting with 'plein air’ painting, finding pretty spots on the property to set up. We are surrounded by native bush land. There’s kangaroo’s, echidnas, a koala and plenty of birdlife. It’s quiet and extraordinarily beautiful.

About my work - I am self-taught and paint intuitively from remembered landscapes. As my paintings unravel I aim to capture the spirit of the places I’ve visited by tapping into the felt sense of the place and allowing it to alchemise into mark makings, textures and colour. It’s a work in progress, but I’m really enjoying the process.

There’s no doubt this tree change will inform my work and sharpen my vision. Follow my journal where I plan to document all my musings and sign up for my newsletter where once a month you’ll receive intimate notes & insights into what I’m creating both on the canvas and on the land.

A ‘creative life’ is full of new possibilities, discoveries, exploration, experimentation, self-expression, and invention. It's a discipline, a way of being, a commitment a style of existing. It’s a good life.

Join me on the journey.
