Inspired by the Australian landscape, my paintings explore our connection with the natural world and the feelings it evokes: stillness, belonging, wonder and renewal.

Living on Dja Dja Wurrung Country in Central Victoria, my work grows from walking, observation and time spent in nature. I am interested in what stays with us from a place: its colours, impressions, energy and sensations..

My paintings begin with colour and intuitive mark-making. Through layering, erasure and gesture, I allow each work to unfold through a process of discovery.

Rather than depicting a landscape, I aim to evoke its presence, exploring the space between seeing and feeling.

Much of my work begins outside the studio. Walking, sitting quietly, observing light and shadow, noticing colour, listening to birdsong or watching reflections move across the water. These simple acts of attention have become an important part of my
